Several studies have demonstrated the positive impact of nature on mental health and overall health. Some HCPs even prescribe taking a walk, exercise, or fresh air. But a new study is one of the first to examine if people aged 65 and older reap benefits from increased amount of green and blue spaces in the zip code where they reside. Researchers surveyed more than 42,000 senior citizens who lived in urban areas of Washington state.
